The Relics of the Inadequate and the Inadequate Institute

“The Relics of the Inadequate” is an ancient collection of the remains and objects of inadequate yet miraculous beings. These relics represent the side of personhood that we wish to repress, our inability to cope without bodies, our emotions, our deaths and ourselves. Death gives meaning to our life. Inadequacy makes us human. 

The collection was started by an anonymous group of individuals linked to different religious and medical institutions. These people began collecting objects of beings and entities that deserve a different kind of sanctity that operates from within the realms of emotion. The collection and its collectors became prosecuted by different religious and non religious institutions for uncovering the uncomfortable powers of emotion and have remained in hiding since. After several years they founded the “Inadequate institute”, which is a cluster of museums, exhibitions and texts of all things inadequate.
